Hour of Code Event 2017

This year Harmony School of Innovation participated in Hour of Code, an event where 140,533 campuses globally participated in over 100 coding challenges. Students were able to use their creativity and knowledge of coding to create games and other online applications. For more information on hour of code visit

You're Invited  STEM Fest  Science Fair  FoodJoin us for our STEM Fest on Saturday, December 9th, from 10am-12pm for student projects, demonstrations and food/drinks.  We will also have a science fair that will be open for public viewing from 11am-12pm.  Admission to these events is free – tickets will be sold for food/drinks.

School PlayYou are invited to come watch our students participate in a school play titled The Stinky Cheese Man Christmas Twist on Tuesday, December 5th, at 4:00 in the 4th floor intervention room.  We hope to see you there.

Harmony Giving Day 2017

Harmony staff, teachers, and administrators have spent countless of hours preparing our students for college and each year approximately 85% of our graduating class enrolled in a post-secondary institution.

But, despite these impressive enrollment numbers, far too many of our low income and first-time college students drop out as they hit financial and circumstantial barriers such as the cost of attending college, that has increased by 36% in the last 10 years. Harmony Public Schools has 5,033 graduates to date and is projected to have 11,686 graduates by 2020, current funding sources are unable to meet even the current demands of these programs. Clearly, additional financial support is required.

We are asking our Harmony community to consider going beyond educational efforts, providing even greater assistance to our graduates through generous Harmony Giving Day contributions to the Harmony College Fund. All your donations will go towards helping our Harmony graduates to complete their higher education dreams and achieve their career aspirations by providing additional scholarships and direct college and career support services.

Let’s come together to reach our target of raising $50,000 on our first ever giving day.

History Fair

History Fair  Nov 29th  5:00-6:00The Social Studies 2nd annual history fair will be November 29th from 5-6pm in the 3rd floor cafeteria.  Please join us in viewing projects created by our 4th-8th grade students.  Students will be judged on accuracy and creativity.  Winners will be announced during our morning announcements November 30th.

Harmony Public Schools | Notice of Public Hearing

As part of the December 13, 2017 Board of Directors Regular Meeting, Harmony Public Schools will hold a public hearing to discuss the HPS Schools’ 2016-2017 Financial Rating Systems of Texas (FIRST) accountability ratings.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room, located at 9321 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, Houston, TX 77099.

Join Us At McTeacher NightPlease join us for our McTeacher fundraising night November 14th from 4:00-7:00 at McDonald’s (5700 Walzem Road).  A portion of the nights sales will go back to the school.  We will also be selling sugar cookies for $1 cash & we get 100% of those sales.

Book Fair Breakfasts

You're InvitedPlease join us for breakfast in the 3rd floor cafeteria from 7:30-8:00am.  Monday (Nov. 6th) is muffins with moms.  Tuesday (Nov. 7th) is donuts with dads and Wednesday (Nov. 8th) is goodies with grandparents.
