Monday, February 4th, is a student and staff holiday.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, Febrary 5th.

Please join us for Math Night on Thursday, February 7th, from 3:30-4:40PM. Each grade level will host their math night in their classroom. Pre-K through 2nd grade will be learning about math centers.  3rd – 8th grade will be going over our math software system (ALEKS) and how to understand it.

History Fair - Jan 23rd 5:00-6:00

We invite you to come support HSI-SA scholars at the 2019 History Fair.  The fair will be on Wednesday, January 23rd, from 5:00PM – 6:00PM in the 3rd floor cafeteria.  We hope to see you there!

Spelling Bee

Our 2019 spelling bee will be held on Monday, January 28th, from 3:30PM – 4:30PM in the 4th floor intervention room.  Please come out to show your support for the students as they participate in this event.

January 17 Parent Academy 5:00PM-6:00PM

Please join us for our second Parent Academy that will take place on January 17th from 5:00-6:00PM in the 4th floor intervention room. Valerie (M.A., CAI-I, LPC Intern), owner of Lighthouse Intervention/LLC, will discuss the topics of anxiety/depression and suicide prevention.  The session is titled ”
Breaking the silence, starting a conversation, recognizing depression & anxiety”.  We hope that you can make it out for this informative night – snacks will be provided.

Harmony Gifted & Talented Education

 

In accordance with the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students, Harmony Public Schools will begin taking referrals for all interested students in grades K-12 for gifted and talented screening.

Anyone interested in the educational welfare of these students may nominate them for assessment. Students in grades 2 & up who were tested in the Fall 2018 are not eligible to test in Spring 2019. Referral forms are available at the front office and on the school’s web site.

The referral forms must be returned to the front office by Friday, February 8, 2019.

The 2019 Spring GT testing window is February 11, 2019 – March 29, 2019.
